No-no NaNoWriMo!

My my my! It seems that the National Novel Writing Month organization has not only stepped in it, but made a big splash doing it. At a time when nearly all writing programs have banned the use of AI, NaNoWriMo has said bring it on. AI levels the playing field, they said. It's a great tool they said, for marginalized communities or for the disabled who don't have the same "access to inner circle of the publishing industry." A quote from Laura Wheatman Hill.

Somebody seems to be very out of touch about the publishing industry. The last time I checked, probably more than 90% of authors, new or previously published, have access to the "inner circle of the publishing industry." The organization is tried to backtrack, the latest with the letter addressing their misguided championship of AI. But it seems that nobody's buying it.
